Parking American Style

Parking is a big part of our lives, but we don’t think about it much. Mostly, we just know we want it to be convenient and free. In an attempt to make this dream a reality, the United States spends as much subsidizing parking as it does on Medicare. There are now eight parking spots per automobile in the U.S., covering territory equal in size to the state of West Virginia. In this talk, Jason Neidleman will describe the consequences of our collective decision to privilege free and convenient parking.
