The Garden Club was formed in 2012 as a working group of Sustainable Claremont.  The Claremont Garden Club exists to share information, promote sustainable practices, and provide a way to meet other garden enthusiasts! We aim to help local gardeners make the most of their landscapes while having fun in the process!

The Garden Club has monthly meetings, which are are free and open to all, on the second Wednesday of the month for nine months of the year. The meetings include talks and demonstrations covering both edible and ornamental gardening, and members bring plants, bulbs, and seeds to share.  Meetings are held at the Napier Center at Pilgrim Place (660 Avery Rd) in Claremont. Chatting and plant swapping begin at 6:30 pm with the talk at 7:00 pm.

The Garden Club also has field trips and workshops occur at various times, and has potlucks in December and July, where members can socialize informally.  The Club also co-sponsors an annual free Flower Show with the Woman’s Club of Claremont in March, and also organizes an annual garden tour, “Claremont Eclectic: A tour of six local gardens”, which takes place in April each year.
