Events: Sustainability Dialog: Gardening with California Native Plants

August 22, 2022
7:00PM - 8:00PM

Description

Come join in a vibrant discussion on Gardening with California Native Plants!

Gardens using California native plants can be gorgeous, easy to maintain, full of color and habitat for birds and pollinators, and are often watered no more than once every 3-4 weeks once established. Come learn why native gardens are a great choice and how to get started with planning your own.

Gardening with native plants does not mean you have to grow only native plants. If you're curious, come check it out. You might fall in love with a new and rewarding approach to gardening that offers so much more than a lawn ever could (whether it's green or brown)!

Scott Kleinrock is the Conservation Programs Manager at the Waterwise Community Center of the Chino Basin Water Conservation District.
