Earth Action Week
From April 20th – 26th, Sustainable Claremont is hosting an online Earth Action Week. Each day, over the course of Earth Action Week, we will be highlighting action-items, or pledges, that participants can commit to in honor of Earth Day. Through social media and email we will be asking our community to commit to making small changes in their daily lives, and to encourage their friends, family and neighbors to do the same–even while staying safe at home! These pledges are a bit like New Year’s resolutions. They are tangible actions that we all can take to reduce our impact on the planet, such as averting carbon dioxide emissions and reducing water consumption.

We hope everyone can find more than one action item they can commit to!

The action won’t stop after Earth Action Week. Our pledges are designed for sustained changes in behavior, and we will be learning how best to support these behaviors throughout our community. We will be following up with people who make pledges to gather their stories and experiences, and we will be collecting metrics to track our progress as a community.
