What NOT to grow! Invasive plant species in Southern California

What is an invasive species? Why do we care? How can they be managed and what are the implications for gardeners? Dr. Nancy Hamlett has overseen invasive species removal at the Bernard Field Station for six years and is initiating a similar program at the Wilderness Park.

Claremont Garden Club meetings are free and open to all. They are held on the second Wednesdays of most months at the Napier Center in Pilgrim Place, 660 Avery Rd, Claremont, 91711. Meetings start at 6:30 pm for refreshments and socializing, and the talks begin at 7pm.
