Social sustainability requires us to do our best to address the needs of all individuals and groups within the community in a fair and equitable manner. This includes attention to improving the range of housing types and income levels available and to their distribution throughout the City, as well as to issues related to health, employment, social support networks, youth and senior facilities, neighborhood diversity and preservation, and to equal treatment for all by government.
Current Project: The Social Action Group will establish its first partnership with the Claremont Coalition for Affordable Housing and its first activity will be to review the affordable housing development proposal soon to be proposed by the City.

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
